Full Bio
Pol Pot was the leader of the Khmer Rouge and Prime Minister of Democratic Kampuchea. His regime attempted to radically transform Cambodian society through forced labor, evacuations, executions, and persecution, causing the deaths of an estimated large portion of the Cambodian population.
